The Morgantown History Museum in Morgantown, WV, uses census data in exhibits highlighting the city's diverse industrial history and inhabitants. Census data were key to telling the story of Morgantown's young workers in "Child Labor in Morgantown" as well its "Flatboats" and "Flight in Morgantown" exhibits. For the museum's 2011 grand opening, hundreds of guests visited "The Way We Worked" exhibit adapted from an exhibition developed by the National Archives. It used demographic and labor data to explore how work became a central element of American culture by tracing the many changes that affected the workforce and work environment.
