In partnership with the Oregon Black Pioneers Link to a non-federal Web site, the Lane County Historical Museum in Eugene, OR, created the exhibit, "Rails Through Eugene: An African American Experience." This exhibit uses census data to tell the stories of the African Americans who built the tracks and later worked aboard and maintained the trains for the Oregon Electric Railroad.
