Pahayag ng Kawanihan ng Senso sa Timeline ng Data ng Muling Pag-distrito

PEB. 12, 2021 — Inanunsiyo ng Kawanihan ng Senso ng U.S. sa araw na ito na ihahatid nito ang data ng muling pag-distrito ng Pampublikong Batas 94-171 sa lahat ng estado bago lumipas ang Setyembre 30, 2021. Dahil sa mga antalang nauugnay sa COVID-19 at pagbibigay ng priyoridad sa paghahatid ng mga resulta ng pagbabahagi, naantala ang orihinal na plano ng Kawanihan ng Senso na ihatid ang data ng muling pag-distrito sa mga estado (state) bago lumipas ang Marso 31, 2021.

Naiiba mula sa mga nakaraang senso, ihahatid ng Kawanihan ng Senso ang data para sa lahat ng estado (state) nang sabay-sabay, sa halip na magkakahilaway. Ginawa ang pagbabagong ito dahil sa mga nauugnay sa COVID-19 na pagbabago sa pagkolekta ng data at iskedyul ng pagpoproseso ng data at nagbibigay-daan ito sa Kawanihan ng Senso para maghatid ng kumpleto at tumpak na data ng muling pag-distrito sa mas napapanahong paraan sa pangkalahatan para sa mga estado (state).

Kasama sa data sa muling pag-distrito ang mga bilang ng populasyon ayon sa lahi, etnisidad (Hispaniko o Latino na pinagmulan), edad ng pagboto, katayuan ng paninirahan sa pabahay, at populasyon ng mga nasa grupong tirahan, lahat sa antas ng senso block. Ito ang impormasyong kailangan ng mga estado (state) para muling iguhit o “muling idistrito” ang mga hangganan ng kanilang lehislasyon.

Bilang paghahanda para sa paghahatid ng mga produkto ng data ng muling pag-distrito, malapit na nakikipag-ugnayan ang Kawanihan ng Senso sa mga opisyal na walang kinikilingan na liaison ng bawat estado (state) para maunawaan ang mga epekto ng naantalang paghahatid sa mga indibidwal na estado (state). Mula 2019, nagkaroon ang mga estado (state) ng access sa mga prototype na heograpikong produktong pansuporta at mga talaan ng data mula sa Pagsubok ng 2018 Senso para tulungan silang magsimulang idisenyo ang kanilang mga sistema ng muling pag-distrito. Isa itong tool na magagamit ng mga estado (state) para matulungang mapababa ang epekto ng mga antala sa iskedyul. Dagdag dito, sa araw na ito ay nakumpleto ng Kawanihan ng Senso ang paglabas ng mga heograpikong produkto ng 2020 Senso ng lahat ng estado (state) na kailangan para sa muling pag-distrito.
