2023 Federal CASIC Workshops

2024 Federal Computer Assisted Survey Information Collection Workshops

What is FedCASIC?

For the past twenty years the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics have sponsored the annual Federal Computer Assisted Survey Information Collection (FedCASIC) Workshops. This series of annual meetings was originally called the Federal CAPI Workshops but its focus was expanded in 1997 to include all forms of computer assisted survey information collection (CASIC).

Is the conference going to be held in-person?

FedCASIC 2024 will be held virtually.

How do I submit an abstract or register for the conference?

For current Census employees and contractors:
Please register for FedCASIC access. After the access is granted, you will be able to log in using Single Sign On (SSO) inside the Census network. If you are outside the Census network, you will have to log in with your Census email address and enterprise password.

For other attendees:
You will need to have an account to submit an abstract or register for the conference. It may take up to one business day to have your account created. After your account is created, you can submit an abstract or register for the conference.

How do you pronounce FedCASIC?

The “Fed” portion is pronounced just like the “Fed” in “Federal”.
The “CASIC” portion is pronounced with a short a, like ka-sik.

Who may attend FedCASIC?

Attendance is open to representatives of Federal agencies and Federal contractors who use computer assisted methods of survey data collection, capture, and processing. Agencies and agency contractors who plan to use CASIC methods or that provide software support to Federal CASIC surveys are also welcome to attend. There is no fee for attendance.
