Three Stooges Action Figures

These Three Stooges action figures depict the comedy trio from their 1940 short film
"No Census, No Feelings."

The Three Stooges action figures shown here depict the comedy trio from their 1940 comedy short, No Census, No Feelings, released by Columbia Pictures on October 4, 1940. Hijinks ensued when Moe, Larry, and Curly inadvertently found themselves in the middle of a football game after becoming census enumerators.

In 1940, the U.S. Census Bureau employed approximately 116,000 enumerators who counted a population of 132,164,569 in 30 days starting on April 1, 1940. During that census, the Census Bureau used statistical sampling for the first time, asking additional questions of 5 percent of the population.
