1980 Textbook

A textbook developed as part of the Experimental Student Intern Program
for the 1980 Census.

For the 1980 Census, the Census Bureau published this textbook for the 50 universities participating in the Experimental Student Intern Program (ESIP). Students participating in the program received academic credit for completing coursework and working as an enumerator during the 1980 Census. The textbook covered history, concepts, and principles of data collection and analysis, an overview of the 1980 Census, and the uses of census data.
