2025 South and Midwest Floods

A severe weather outbreak spanning across parts of the lower Mississippi Valley into the Mid-South and lower Ohio Valley began the morning of April 2 and continued through April 5, and then the severe weather moved into the Southeast on April 6. Numerous tornadoes occurred, as well as widespread damaging wind and large hail. (weather.gov)

An Equity Tool to Identify Underserved Communities

My Community Explorer (MCE) is a map-based dashboard that provides selected demographic, business, and resilience information to help users identify potentially underserved areas of their state, counties, and communities. MCE also allows users to see the relationship of underserved communities to current natural disasters such as wildfires, hurricanes, air quality, extreme heat, and other severe weather events.
