Research Working Papers by Series

U.S. Census Bureau "Working Papers" have not undergone the review and editorial process generally accorded official Census Bureau publications.

These working papers are intended to make results of Census Bureau research available to others and to encourage discussion on a variety of topics.


Center for Administrative Records Research and Applications (CARRA)
Research on the nation’s people and economy using the Data Linkage Infrastructure, the Census Bureau's clearinghouse for administrative, census and survey data.


Center for Disclosure Avoidance Research (CDAR) Working Papers
This series talks about disclosure avoidance and the techniques used to ensure published data cannot be used to estimate an individual firm's data too closely.


Center for Economic Studies (CES) Working Paper Series
This series features research in economics and other social sciences, by Census Bureau and FSRDC researchers, using restricted-use Census Bureau microdata.
