MSA Geography Reference Files

Nonemployer Statistics (NES) publishes Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) data by FIPS codes. MSA changes are implemented in batch once every 5 years.

Data User Notice posted on September 13, 2021: The 2017-2018 MSA Geography Reference incorrectly listed Twin Falls, ID as a Metro Area. It has been corrected to a Micro Area in accordance with OMB Bulletin No. 15-01. For more information on Metropolitan/Micropolitan Statistical Areas, please see NES's Methodology.
