Census Transportation Planning Products (CTPP) Data Product has been released
The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials have released the CTPP data product based on 2006 - 2010 5-year American Community Survey. It is designed to help transportation analysts and planners understand where people are commuting to and from, and how they get there. Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Tabulation is available
The Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Tabulation is based on 2006-2010 ACS 5-year data and are available for the nation, all 50 states and the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, metropolitan and micropolitan statistical areas, counties, and places. Employment status estimates now available at the block group level
Employment status estimates from the 2006-2010 American Community Survey 5-year data release are now available on the Labor Force Statistics website. These estimates are similar to the format of Table B23001 (Sex by Age by Employment Status for the Population 16 Years and Over), but they are not broken out by age or gender.

Block group estimates available only in the Summary File

Vintage of geographic boundaries
The 2006-2010 ACS 5-year estimates for legal areas are based on boundaries as of January 1, 2010 as reported to the Census Bureau by local stakeholders through the Boundary and Annexation Survey (BAS). Statistical area boundaries published in the 2006-2010 ACS 5-year estimates are defined using mostly Census 2010 definitions. Visit our Geography page to learn more.

New tables for the 2008-2010 ACS 3-year release

Products related to the technical issue reported on September 22 are now available on American FactFinder
On Tuesday, September 27, American FactFinder resolved technical issues that limited the geographies available during the initial release of 2010 ACS 1-year estimates on September 22. The full set of geographies are now available for most data products. One issue was not corrected. Geographic Comparison Tables are not currently available for Public Use Microdata Areas (PUMAs). The Census Bureau plans on correcting this issue and will provide an update to our users in the near future.

2010 ACS 1-year estimates released September 22
- 2010 ACS 1-year estimates are available in the New American FactFinder
- 2010 ACS 1-year estimates are based on data collected from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010.
- 2010 ACS 1-year estimates are available for geographic areas with populations of 65,000 or more.
- 2010 ACS 1-year estimates are NOT 2010 Census results.
Vintage of geographic boundaries
The 2010 ACS data release marks the first time ACS will use 2010 Census tabulation geography for select statistical areas. Visit our Geography page to learn more.
First American Community Survey release in the new American FactFinder
2010 ACS 1-year estimates are only available in the new American FactFinder system. Previous datasets are only available in the legacy American FactFinder. These older datasets will be moved to the new American FactFinder in the coming months.
Change in Population Controls
The 2009 ACS and 2010 ACS 1-year estimates use different Census base years for the population estimates used in the ACS weighting. As a result, users should use caution when making comparisons across years. Specifically, estimates of the number of people in a given location (population size) are not strictly comparable between these two years. In general, the change to more current population estimates is not expected to have a meaningful impact in the percent distributions, rates, or ratios for non-demographic characteristics for many of the largest geographic areas.
