Abstract
This report presents U.S. population projections by age, race, and sex for 1982 to 2050. These are based on the July 1, 1981, population estimates and race definitions, and are projected forward using a cohort-component method with alternative assumptions on fertility, mortality, and net immigration levels. The series using the middle assumptions for each of the three components is designated as the "middle" series.
