A. Ross Eckler

A. Ross Eckler served as Director of the Census Bureau from 1965-1969. Over his 30-year career at the Census Bureau, Eckler also worked in the Special Surveys Division was chief social scientist, and became the agency's longest serving Deputy Director in 1949.
