Internships

The Economic Measurement and Research Internship (EMRI) Program seeks to hire interns in economics, accounting, and related fields to support the nation’s growing demand for information.

The Pathways Internship Program provides paid work experience to high school, undergraduate, or graduate students in an accredited college or university program.

Recent Graduates

The Pathways Recent Graduate Program allows recent graduates to enter the Federal service and provides long-term, on the job professional training and development.

Research/Fellowships

The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) seeks to attract outstanding master's, law, and doctoral-level students to the federal service.

The Census Bureau offers extraordinary opportunities for postdoctoral research in statistics, survey measurement, and related areas.

The Emerging Technology Fellowship (xD) actively recruits the best and brightest technologists with expertise in emerging data technology trends to drive data innovation at the Census Bureau and other federal agencies.

Partnerships

The Census Bureau has several partnerships with various schools, universities and organizations to build a pipeline of diverse and high-caliber candidates in the fields of data science, information technology, statistics, and more.

Bowie State University (BSU) Partnership

The Census Bureau is partnering with BSU data science students on several initiatives, including technical lectures, internships, mentorships, and more.

University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) Partnership

Census Bureau and UTSA partnership creates opportunities for future data science leaders.

Future Leaders in the Public Service Internship Program

The DOC and Census Bureau are partnering with the Partnership for Public Service to recruit talent from the Future Leaders in Public Service Internship Program.

CyberCorps: Scholarship for Service

Program designed to recruit and train the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

Dissertation Fellowship Program

Dissertation research program that relates to the planning, collection, processing, analysis, making inferences, and disseminating data and data products.

Graduate Research Internship Program (GRIP)

The Census Bureau serves as host to selected NSF Graduate Fellows to enhance their professional development by engaging in mission related research experiences.
