2014 ACS 1-year Estimates

New Tables

 
Foreign Born
  • Two new Detailed Tables (B05013 and B05014) provide estimates for the foreign-born populations by sex and detailed age categories. Table B05013 provides estimates in 5 year age intervals, and table B05014 provides estimates in 10 year age intervals. 
Employment Status; Work Experience; Labor Force
  • A new Detailed Table (B23026) provides estimates for usual hours worked per week by weeks worked for the population 65 years and over by sex. 
  • A new Detailed Table (B23027) provides estimates for full-time, year-round work status by age for the population 16 years and over.
Housing
  • There are 6 Detailed Tables that have been restored as a result of modifications to the plumbing question in the Puerto Rico questionnaire. Puerto Rico plumbing estimates have not been released since data year 2011. These tables include: B25016, B25047, B25048, B25049, B25050, and B99259.

Modified Tables

 
Ancestry
  • Two Collapsed Tables (C04005 and C04006) were modified to exclude the “Other groups” category.  This prevents people who report multiple ancestries within the “Other groups” category from being double counted.
Foreign Born
  • The title of Detailed Table B05005 was modified to “Period of Entry by Nativity and Citizenship Status in the United States” from “Year of Entry by Nativity and Citizenship Status in the United States.”
  • Detailed Table B05006 and the Selected Population Profiles S0201 and S0201PR were modified to change “Cape Verde” to “Cabo Verde.” 
Employment Status; Work Experience; Labor Force
  • The universe for Detailed Table B23007 and Collapsed Table C23007 was limited to opposite-sex married-couple families and families maintained by women and men with no spouse present. For more information, visit the User Notes page. 
Housing
  • One Detailed Table (B25074) was modified to expand the burden categories to include up to 50 percent or more burden for gross rent as a percentage of household income. The new categories include: 35.0 to 39.9 percent, 40.0 to 49.9 percent, and 50.0 percent or more.
  • One Detailed Table (B25095) was modified to expand the burden categories to include up to 50 percent or more burden for selected monthly owner costs as a percentage of household income. The new categories include: 35.0 to 39.9 percent, 40.0 to 49.9 percent, and 50.0 percent or more.
  • Tables DP04, CP04, and S2504 were modified to restore plumbing data for Puerto Rico geographies. For more information, visit the User Notes page. 

 

Deleted/Removed Tables

Ancestry
  • Detailed Tables B04001, B04002, and B04003 and Collapsed Tables C04001, C04002, and C04003 have been deleted. Detailed Tables B04004, B04005, B04006, C04004, C04005, and C04006 are available alternatives.
Foreign Born; Citizenship; Year of Entry; Nativity
  • Collapsed Tables C05007 and C05008 have been deleted. Detailed Tables B05007 and B05008 are available alternatives.
Place of Birth
  • Collapsed Tables C06001, C06003, C06003PR, and C06008 have been deleted.  Detailed Tables B06001, B06003PR and B06008 are available alternatives. 
Residence 1 Year Ago; Migration
  • Collapsed Tables C07202, C07203, C07408, and C07408PR have been deleted.  Detailed Tables B07202, B07203, B07408, and B07408PR are available alternatives.
Journey to Work; Workers; Commuting
Employment Status; Work Experience; Labor Force
  • Detailed Tables B23004 and B23023 and Collapsed Table C23023 have been deleted. Detailed Tables B23026, B23027, and B18121 are available alternatives. 
Industry and Occupation
  • Collapsed Tables C24101A-I have been deleted. Table S0201 is the available alternative.
Housing
  • Detailed Tables B25023 and B25073 have been deleted. Detailed Tables B25004 and B25076 are available alternatives.
