2020-2024 ACS 5-Year Estimates Released January 29
2020-2024 ACS 5-year estimates are available in data.census.gov, the API, and the Summary File.
The 2020-2024 ACS 5-year Press Kit includes a wide range of resources, such as the press release, links to data, America Counts stories, pre-release webinar, and background materials for this release.
2020-2024 ACS 5-year estimates are based on data collected from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2024.
2020-2024 ACS 5-year estimates are available for geographic areas down to the census tract level for all data tables and block group level for select Detailed Tables.

Supporting documentation has been released to provide data users with a basic explanation of the sample design, estimation methodology, and accuracy of the data.
2020-2024 ACS 5-Year Narrative Profiles Available
2020-2024 ACS 5-year Narrative Profiles are available for states, counties, places, metropolitan/micropolitan statistical areas, county subdivisions, ZIP Code Tabulation Areas, American Indian Area/Alaska Native Area/Hawaiian Home Lands and census tracts. Narrative Profiles summarize many topics using nontechnical text and graphs. Other profiles, such as Data Profiles and Comparison Profiles, are available in data.census.gov.

2020-2024 ACS Variance Replicate Estimates Tables and Documentation Released January 29
2020-2024 ACS Variance Replicate Estimates Tables are now available, along with supporting documentation, through the Variance Replicate Estimate Tables as well as the FTP site. These tables allow advanced data users to calculate margins of error when collapsing data within a table or across geographies.

The release dates for the 2020-2024 American Community Survey (ACS) 5-year estimates and the 2020-2024 ACS 5-year Variance Replicate Estimates are revised and now scheduled to be released on January 29, 2026.
The 2020-2024 ACS 5-year Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS) files are revised and now scheduled to be released on March 5, 2026. For more information on the release schedule, visit the 2024 ACS Release Schedule.
The 2020-2024 ACS 5-year estimates are scheduled to be released on December 11, 2025. These data will be available for all geographic areas including census tracts, ZIP Code Tabulation Areas (ZCTAs), and block groups.

2024 ACS 1-Year Supplemental Estimates and Documentation Released December 4
2024 ACS 1-year Supplemental Estimates are available in data.census.gov and the API.
2024 ACS 1-year Supplemental Estimates are based on data collected from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024, and are available for geographic areas with populations of 20,000 or more.

2024 ACS 1-Year PUMS Files and Documentation Released December 4
2024 ACS 1-year Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS) files are now available on the ACS website, the FTP site, and in the microdata analysis tool on data.census.gov. Supporting documentation such as the PUMS User Guide, Accuracy of the PUMS, and PUMS Estimates for User Verification have been released to help users with this release.
The release dates for the 2024 American Community Survey (ACS) 1-year Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS) files and 2024 ACS 1-year Supplemental Estimates are revised and now scheduled to be released on December 4, 2025.
