About Statistical Research
A great deal of statistical research at the Census Bureau is concentrated in the Center for Statistical Research and Methodology (CSRM).
The Center for Statistical Research and Methodology conducts statistical research on statistical design, modeling, and analysis methods for data collection, analysis, and dissemination programs in collaboration with Research and Methodology Directorate colleagues, other directorates, and outside researchers.
Output of our efforts include new or improved statistical methods and associated software.
Researchers interact with academic, government, and other researchers through:
• active participation in professional meetings, conferences, and symposia,
• preparation and dissemination of discussion papers, and
• publication in professional journals of the findings of research.
