Comparing Migration Flows of Different Geographic Levels

  • We caution data users against conducting any type of comparison of migration flows at different geographic levels.

ACS Standard Tables

  • In addition to migration flows, information on inmigration and outmigration is available for published geographies on data.census.gov. Detailed tables B07001 through B07013 contain geographical mobility in the past year for current residence by selected characteristics for all summary levels. Detailed tables B07401 through B07413 contain geographical mobility in the past year for residence 1 year ago by selected characteristics for some summary levels. Tables dealing specifically with Puerto Rico have a -PR suffix and slightly different geographical mobility categories.
