The brief Poverty: 2017 and 2018 was revised and rereleased on 11/14/2019 to correct several errors, including the number of individuals in poverty in 2018 for the state of Michigan (Table 1) and the number of individuals in poverty in 2018 for the Detroit-Warren-Dearborn, MI Metro Area (Table 2). Poverty rates and the year-to-year changes for these geographies are correct as originally published. The proportion of people with income less than 50 percent of their poverty threshold declined in eight states, not seven states as originally listed in the highlights (Page 1). In addition, an asterisk denoting statistical significance was missing for the change in the percent of individuals with income below 125 percent of poverty for Colorado (Table 5) and several of the margins of errors for 2018 poverty rates for Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs) were misaligned (Table 2).
