Sample Code for SIPP Users
The public use data file of the Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP) offers a rich variety of labor force data. Nevertheless, some data users will prefer to create their own variable(s) by combining or manipulating variables that already exist on the main public use data file. Some such variables will benefit many data users, but may be difficult to create. To ease the burden on data users and to promote uniformity among these created variables, we present sample code offering an off-the-shelf solution. This site acts as a repository of programs to perform the following common, complex tasks.
