2023 SIPP: Issue with Age at Birth

There are a few person-level records where the time between the respondent’s own year of birth (TDOB_BYEAR) and their child’s year of birth (TCBYR_1-X) exceeds the age cap imposed by the editing process [50 years for women (ESEX = 2) and 69 years for men (ESEX=1)]. Data users should treat these cases as their maximum allowable age based on their sex, which may include altering the respondent's TAGE_FB, TYEAR_FB, and/or TCBYR_1-X values.
