2014 Panel Wave 1: Fertility History
As a result of bottom-coding year of birth, some parents may appear younger at age of first birth than they actually were.
As a result of top-coding children ever born, there are some cases with discrepancies between household demographics and child birth year data.
As a result of top-coding children ever born, there are some cases in which fertility transitions may not align to children’s birth years.
Fertility histories are collected at interview month, and therefore may not correspond to other circumstances reported for December of the reference year.
We did not allow respondents with all children born in the same year to report multiple partner fertility due to PII concerns.
