Respond Online

Learn more about responding online to the NSCG! It's fast, easy, and safe. And it helps reduce costs!

  • It's safe, secure and confidential. Your information and privacy are protected.
  • It's economical—it's the least expensive way to respond to the survey—saving taxpayers money.
  • It's greener—it helps conserve paper.
  • It's user-friendly—offering you help screens and the ability to review your answers.

Respond Now if you are ready to complete the survey. Remember to have your materials ready (see below).

How do I get started?

  • Gather the materials we mailed to you, including the Login ID and Password.
  • Go to https://respond.census.gov/nscg
  • Input the Login ID and Password.
  • The Login ID and Password will allow you to log back into the survey if the session times out or you need to stop and come back later. The session will time out if left idle for more than 15 minutes.

Can you remind me of my Login ID and Password ?

For your security, we will not be able to remind you of your Login ID and Password if they are lost or forgotten.  However, it is possible to issue a new Login ID and Password.  Please call 1-888-262-5935 or email nscg@census.gov for assistance.  If you login using the new Login ID and Password, you will need to start the survey from the beginning.

Should I respond online or by mail?

  • In the coming weeks, you may receive a questionnaire in the mail. You do not need to mail it back if you have completed the online survey.
  • If you prefer not to respond online, please fill out the questionnaire you will receive in the mail and send it back in the postage-paid envelope.

Thank you for your time and effort. It makes a difference!
