Field Definitions

Field definitions are as follows:

  • State: 2-character state FIPS code
  • County: 3-character county FIPS code
  • AIA: 4-character American Indian / Alaska Native / Native Hawaiian (AIANNH) area census code
  • Congressional District: 2-character code
  • Tract: 6-character census tract code, and the 4-character tabulation block code
  • County Subdivision: 5-character code
  • Place: 5-character place FIPS code
  • School District: 5-character code
  • TotalPop: 6-character code indicating the total 2010 population count of Congressional District
  • UrbanPop: 6-character code indicating the total 2010 population count of Congressional District covered by an urban area
  • RuralPop: 6-character code indicating the total 2010 population count of Congressional District covered by a rural area
  • UrbanPopPCT: 6-character code indicating the percentage of the 2010 population count of Congressional District covered by an urban area
  • RuralPopPCT: 6-character code indicating the percentage of the 2010 population count of Congressional District covered by a rural area
  • AreaLand: 6-character code indicating the total 2010 area of Congressional District in square miles
  • UrbanLand: 6-character code indicating the total 2010 area of Congressional District covered by an urban area in square miles
  • RuralLand: 6-character code indicating the total 2010 area of Congressional District covered by a rural area in square miles
  • UrbanLandPCT: 6-character code indicating the percentage of the total 2010 area of Congressional District covered by an urban area
  • RuralLandPCT: 6-character code indicating the percentage of the total 2010 area of Congressional District covered by a rural area
  • ZCTA: 5-character 2010 Zip Code Tabulation Area
