For the first time ever, CBP published preliminary estimates for the 2017 reference year on July 31, 2019. The preliminary tables provide number of establishments, employment for the week of March 12th, first quarter payroll, and annual payroll at the NAICS sector level (i.e., 2-digit NAICS) for the nation. Final CBP tables for the 2017 reference year are scheduled for release in November 2019.
Note that preliminary results for the 2017 Economic Census are scheduled for release on September 19, 2019. For additional information about the release schedule for the 2017 Economic Census, see https://www.census.gov/programs-surveys/economic-census/about/release-schedules.html.
