ASEC User Note: Redesign of Geographic Mobility Table Package: 2018
The Journey-to-Work and Migration Statistics Branch has produced annual tables on geographic mobility since 1947. Since their inception, these tables have been modified to meet the needs of data users. The number of tables for the 2018 Geographic Mobility package was reduced. However, the number of columns was increased for some tables (including total movers, total US movers, total same-state movers, total different-county movers, and total nonmetropolitan residents, where applicable). The detailed spreadsheet below outlines the changes between Geographic Mobility packages 2014 and 2015; Geographic Mobility 2015 and 2017; and Geographic Mobility 2017 and 2018.
