The 18th CAED Conference will be held at The Pennsylvania State University on May 17-19, 2024. The conference provides a venue for research using firm and plant-level data on a wide range of topics, disciplines and countries. It is a unique meeting place for producers and users of these data including statisticians, survey methodologists, economists, sociologists, and other social scientists working in academic institutions and statistical agencies. It also provides an opportunity for policymakers to interact with researchers and learn about the newest results in their fields.

The conference will feature two keynote speakers. Peter Schott, Yale School of Management, will speak on “Trade Liberalization and Labor-Market Outcomes,” and William Kerr, Harvard Business School, will speak on “Immigration, Innovation, and Firm Dynamics.”
Paper Submission
The deadline for paper submission is March 1, 2024. There is no submission fee. Abstracts will be accepted, but full papers are preferred. When submitting, please choose one of the topic categories from the available list. Acceptance decisions will be announced by March 22 and participants must register by May 1. Further information on registration will be forthcoming.
