Data Collection Error in Philadelphia County, PA

After the release of the 2017 data products, the Census Bureau identified an error in the data for Philadelphia County, PA, which impacted estimates in Philadelphia City, Philadelphia County, and Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington, PA-NJ-DE-MD Metropolitan Statistical Area. The error occurred during personal interview data collection. The following topics were affected: employment status, health insurance, households and families, income and earnings, rent (no rent paid), and poverty. The 2017 ACS 1-year estimates for these topics in the affected geographies should not be compared with other ACS estimates. The 2017 1-year estimates for these topics will be suppressed in future Comparison Profiles. Revised data for 2017 will be used to create the 2018 and later 5-year ACS data.
This error for Philadelphia County, PA had no notable impacts on the published 2017 ACS 1-year estimates at the national, regional, or state level.
