"Access to Food in America" Live on the "America by the Numbers" Segment of C-SPAN's "Washington Journal"
Dec. 28 at 9:15 a.m. - In 2011, a record high 15 percent of U.S. households lacked consistent access to adequate food. Alisha Coleman-Jensen, a social science analyst for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Economic Research Service, discusses the latest food security trend data by poverty status, unemployment and household composition. Most Fridays, C-SPAN's "America by the Numbers" segment on its "Washington Journal" show features information from the federal statistical system.
