On Monday, Feb. 14, the U.S. Census Bureau will release extensive housing data on the New Orleans metropolitan area based on the 2009 American Housing Survey, the federal government's most detailed source of housing data. These data offer the first comprehensive look at housing in the New Orleans area after Hurricane Katrina. Topics covered include information on people displaced by the disaster, their housing options, the degree of damage to their homes and repair and renovation information.
