Census Bureau to Brief Reporters on Population Change and Distribution from 1990 to 2000

**CENSUS BUREAU MEDIA ADVISORY**

What:
The Commerce Department's Census Bureau will hold a news conference to discuss the significance of the U.S. population increase between 1990 and 2000. Census Bureau demographers also will look at population shifts at the state, metro area, county and large city levels.
Who:
John Long, chief of the Population Division; Marc Perry and Paul Mackun, Population Division.
When:
Monday, April 2; 10 a.m. EDT
