Priscilla Huang

Policy Director, Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF)

Priscilla Huang, JD, is the policy director for the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF), a national health justice organization which influences policy, mobilizes communities, and strengthens programs and organizations to improve the health of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. Priscilla directs the organization’s policy work on expanding access to health care and coverage, improving the quality of care, increasing data on Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander health, and increasing investments in community-driven health strategies. She also works to develop and build the organization's national network of community based organizations and health justice leaders.

Prior to APIAHF, Priscilla served as the policy and programs director at the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum where she oversaw the federal policy advocacy and government relations for their immigrant rights, anti-trafficking and reproductive justice programs. She has also worked with women and children in domestic violence and emergency homeless shelters.

Priscilla was the recent recipient of Families USA’s inaugural Health Equity Advocate Award, and was recognized by the Congressional Black Caucus Health Braintrust with the 2011 Leadership Award in Advocacy. She currently serves on the boards of the National Women’s Health Network and CASA de Maryland, and was a board of director for Law Students for Reproductive Justice and SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective. Priscilla holds a law degree from American University, Washington College of Law, where she was one of ten Public Interest/Public Service Scholars. She received a BA in English and Philosophy from Boston College.
