APRIL 15, 2026 — The U.S. Census Bureau today released new tables and files containing detailed data from its 2025 Annual Survey of State Government Tax Collections (STC), including taxes imposed and collected by state governments and the District of Columbia. These data cover five broad tax categories and up to 25 tax subcategories.

Congress, federal agencies, state and local governments, educational and research organizations, and the public use this information to examine and develop tax policy, gross domestic product estimates, and national income and product accounts.
