The U.S. Census Bureau is set to hold an informational webinar Dec. 3 in advance of the Dec. 10 release of 2015-2019 American Community Survey (ACS) 5-year estimates. The webinar will show participants how to access the new ACS data and online resources from the release. Attendees will also learn about changes in the estimates and tips for comparing geographies and statistics over time. Embargo subscribers will have access to these statistics beginning Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 10 a.m. EST.

The ACS is a nationwide survey that collects and produces information on over 40 topics about our nation's population including social, economic, housing and demographic characteristics. For 15 years, the ACS has provided U.S. communities with detailed information critical for making informed decisions about their people, places and economy. The 2015-2019 release will allow users to compare three nonoverlapping five-year datasets for the first time: 2005-2009, 2010-2014 and 2015-2019. The five-year estimates will be available for all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, every congressional district, and all counties, places, census tracts, ZIP Code Tabulation Areas and block groups.
