Annual Survey of Entrepeneurs
Press Release Number CB16-148
The inaugural Annual Survey of Entrepreneurs provides annual estimates on the number of employer firms by economic sector, gender, ethnicity, race, and veteran status. Data are available for the nation, states, the District of Columbia, and the 50 most populous metropolitan statistical areas. This survey supplements the Survey of Business Owners, which is conducted every five years as part of the Economic Census. In addition to the number of employer firms, estimates include data on sales/receipts, annual payroll, and the number of paid employees. These employer firms estimates are also available by the number of years in business. This is a new table, not previously available from the Survey of Business Owners. Additional tables include receipts size of firm and employment size of firm.
