April Trade Data Released

The Nation’s international trade deficit in goods and services increased to $40.3 billion in April from $40.0 billion (revised) in March, as exports decreased more than imports.

Annual Revision for 2009

We release our Annual Revisions every year with April data in June. This year, like most, Census revised the prior year’s census basis goods and the last three years of seasonally adjusted and chain-weighted dollar data. The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) has gone a little further back with their services data and BOP adjustments; they are revised back to 1999.

We have all been very busy over in the Data Dissemination Branch creating the Annual Revision for 2009, the April release and other briefing tables as well as updating most of our online data products for you, our data user. The following revisions occurred:
