The talented, dedicated women and men of the U.S. Census Bureau are well on the way to delivering a complete and accurate 2020 Census. We are extremely proud to report that more than 80 percent of households have been enumerated nationwide. To date, three states have more than 90 percent of their households counted, and an additional 24 states have more than 80 percent of their households counted. More than half of the non-response follow-up workload is now complete. You can track our progress on completing the 2020 Census data collection online here.
Our temporary workforce is hired from and working in every community across the country. We have approximately a quarter of a million census takers on the ground knocking on doors, and almost 100,000 more in the pipeline to start soon. These workers are working more hours and completing more cases per hour than we projected. They are getting the job done!
We thank our nearly 400,000 partner organizations, including thousands of complete count committees, across the nation for their hard work to help us deliver a complete and accurate 2020 Census!
You can still fill out the 2020 Census online, over the phone, or by mail. Visit 2020Census.gov for more information.
