Richard Calvin Chang

Richard Calvin Chang is a Native Hawaiian attorney whose family comes from Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawai'i. He currently works as the Data Analytics Director for UCLA Center for Health Policy Research's Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (NHPI) Data Policy Lab.

Prior to the NHPI Data Policy Lab, Calvin helped found Empowering Pacific Islander Communities where he co-authored and led the development of the first demographic profiles of NHPIs in the United States and California.

Calvin received his BA from the University of California, San Diego and JD from Seton Hall University School of Law. He is currently pursuing an MS in Computational Analysis and Public Policy from the University of Chicago. Calvin remains active in the NHPI community as a member of Pacific Islander Health Partnership’s Board of Directors.
