Marina Vornovitsky is the chief of the Health and Disability Statistics Branch in the Social, Economic and Housing Statistics Division of the U.S. Census Bureau.

The branch works primarily with data about health insurance, disability and medical expenditures from the Current Population Survey’s Annual Social and Economic Supplement, the American Community Survey and the Survey of Income and Program Participation.

Vornovitsky previously worked as an economist in the Labor Force Statistics Branch, where she was responsible for producing and disseminating estimates of household wealth for the nation.

Vornovitsky has a doctoral degree in economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a bachelor’s degree in economics from American University.
