Katherine Keisler-Starkey is an Economist in the Health and Disability Statistics Branch in the Social, Economic and Housing Statistics Division of the U.S. Census Bureau, where she works with health insurance data from the Current Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement (CPS ASEC) and the American Community Survey (ACS).

Keisler-Starkey has authored several peer-reviewed articles and conferences papers. Her primary research focuses on how changing economic conditions and demographic factors, influence access to health care for individuals. Recent research includes an evaluation of medical out of pocket spending captured in the redesigned CPS ASEC, and research related to Medicaid using linked survey and administrative records.

Keisler-Starkey received her doctorate in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
