Deputy Chief, Geography Division

Gregory Hanks is the deputy chief of the Census Bureau's Geography Division. Greg has over 20 years of experience at the Census Bureau leading efforts in geographic data collection and processing, developing national and local partnerships, and portfolio and program management. He serves as the coordinator of the Census Bureau's enterprise partnership with the U.S. Postal Service and as the chair of the federal Puerto Rico Address Data Working Group. Greg studied cartography and geography at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and program management at the George Washington University.
