Amanda Klimek

Supervisory Survey Statistician, Outreach and Education Branch in the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey Office

Amanda Klimek is a supervisory survey statistician in the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey Office, where she works to make ACS data accessible to data users by providing daily technical support, exhibiting at conferences and events, and creating online educational materials. She moved into this role in 2018 after serving for two years as a housing statistics subject matter expert in the Social, Economic, and Housing Statistics Division (SEHSD).

Before joining the Census Bureau in 2016, Klimek worked as a planning consultant at Urban Design Ventures in Pittsburgh, PA, where she leveraged Census Bureau data to develop applications for Community Development Block Grants on behalf of local governments.

Klimek received a master’s degree in public and international affairs from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs.
