Adriana Hernandez-Viver

Survey Statistician, Health and Disability Statistics, Social, Economic and Housing Statistics Division

Adriana Hernandez-Viver is a Survey Statistician in the Health and Disability Statistics Branch in the Social, Economic and Housing Statistics Division of the U.S. Census Bureau.

She works with health insurance data from the American Community Survey (ACS), the Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP) and the Island Areas Census. 

Prior to joining the Health and Disability Statistics Branch, she worked in the Demographic Statistical Methods Division Survey Methodology area on several surveys including the National Survey of Children’s Health and the National Sample Survey of Registered Nurses, and in the ACS Variance Estimation and Statistical Support Branch, providing input on the ACS Public Use Microdata Sets and statistical guidance.

She has published reports and conference papers on topics related to social and health disparities in the inmate population.  Her interests also include health insurance dynamics and patterns of health care utilization.

Adriana holds a MS in Evaluative Research of Health Systems from the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus, a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University and a BS in Mathematics from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus.
