Adeline Tran

Adeline Tran

Senior Advisor, U.S. Census Bureau

Adeline Tran is the director’s senior advisor for operations and will be responsible for working closely to align the director’s many activities to be most effective with his strategic objectives as well as for leading special projects.

Adeline began her career at the U.S. Census Bureau in 2005 in the Information Systems Branch in the Governments Division, working on the Public Libraries Survey. In 2010, she became the section chief in the Special Projects Staff in the Service Sector Statistics Division, where she found her passion for data dissemination of the economic indicators. Since 2016, Adeline has been the IT projects coordinator for the Economic Indicators Division, transforming the economic indicators dissemination process to be within milliseconds of the official release time, working on the Small Business Pulse Survey, the Business Formation Statistics, and numerous projects for the division.

She earned a Bronze Medal Award in 2011 for document management governance, the Director’s Award for Innovation in 2012 for the Economic Indicators Dashboard, a Gold Medal Award in 2013 for customer service, and a Silver Medal Award in 2016 for the Indicator Release Improvement Project.

Adeline received her bachelor's degree from Appalachian State University in computer information systems with a minor in Spanish. Adeline lives in Alexandria, Virginia.
