U.S. Census Bureau Director John H. Thompson, along with University of Nebraska-Lincoln officials, will open the Central Plains Research Data Center. The grand opening coincides with the university’s annual research fair.
The Central Plains Research Data Center joins 20 other federal statistical research data center locations in the United States. These centers provide qualified researchers on approved projects with a secure connection to restricted data collected by the Census Bureau, the National Center for Health Statistics and other federal agencies. Research undertaken in the Federal Statistical Research Data Center is vital to increasing our understanding of the population and economy of the United States.
