Press Release Number CB13-TPS.58

In 2012, most of the fastest growing counties were in the South and West. To find out more about demographic characteristics of U.S. counties, tune in on Friday, June 14, 2013, at approximately 8:15 a.m. EDT as Alexa Jones-Puthoff, chief of the Population Estimates Branch at the U.S. Census Bureau, discusses 2012 population estimates of age, sex, race, and Hispanic origin for the nation.

Each Friday, C-SPAN's "America by the Numbers" segment features information from the federal statistical system. The program highlights the trends and allows the public to call in or email their views. More information on previous C-SPAN programs is available at <//www.census.gov/newsroom/cspan.html>.
