Deep Dive into Commodity Jurisdictions
Join Directorate Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) IT Modernization team and DDTC Policy Office for a discussion on Commodity Jurisdictions. In this session, we demonstrate the functionality of the Commodity Jurisdictions application within the Defense Export Control and Compliance System (DECCS). A DDTC policy analyst provides behind-the-scenes context on reviewing Commodity Jurisdiction submissions, as well as best practices for completing a submission. We focus on:
- Providing insight into the review process from DDTC-Policy
- Best practices for submitting a Commodity Jurisdiction
- Creating and submitting a new Commodity Jurisdiction within DECCS
- Utilizing the DECCS portal to view Commodity Jurisdictions status, assigned analyst, and retrieving final determination letter.
