Introduction

The 2020 Census enumerated 331.4 million people in the United States, 323.2 million of whom lived in 126.8 million households. The remaining 8.2 million people lived in group quarters arrangements such as school dormitories, nursing homes, or military barracks. This report presents information on who lived together in American households in 2020, derived from the relationship question on the 2020 Census.
