It is said that part of the American dream is owning a home. While it would be reasonable to expect that the homeownership rate of non-citizens would be significantly lower than for U.S. citizens, the real question is whether current immigrants who become permanent citizens have the same success in attaining this portion of the American drea, as those native-born citizens. Data from Current Population Survey can help answer this question.
