The Hotels, Motels, and Other Lodging Places report (SC92-S-3) presents data for the United States as a whole and, where feasible, for States and MA’s.
This report presents data for Hotels, Rooming Houses, Camps, and Other Lodging Places, Major Group 70, as defined in the Standard Industrial Classification Manual: 1987 (SIC). The data in this report, tabulated as part of the 1992 Census of Service Industries, supplement those previously included in the Geographic Area Series (SC92-A) reports. See the ‘‘Kind-of-Business Classifications’’ section of appendix A for definitions of the kind-of-business categories for which data are shown in this report. Only establishments with some payroll during the year are included.
The basic tabulations in this report do not include data for establishments which are auxiliary (primary function is providing a service, such as warehousing or bookkeeping) to service establishments within the same organization. Data for auxiliaries are presented in a subsequent report issued as part of the 1992 Enterprise Statistics reports.
