Persons moving from metropolitan areas exceeded movers to metropolitan areas between March 1970 and March 1975, according to estimates of the Current Population Survey. The data from this survey indicate that 6,721,000 persons 5 old and over moved out of metropolitan areas of the United States and 5,127,000 moved into metropolitan areas, resulting in a net migration loss from metropolitan to nonmetropolitan areas of 1,594,000.
